The construction industry is set to benefit from a new range of undercarriage parts designed for asphalt pavers, offering enhanced performance and efficiency on job sites. These advancements, highlighted by companies like Caterpillar and Dynapac, focus on improved durability, mobility, and ease of operation.
Caterpillar Introduces Advanced Undercarriage Systems
Caterpillar has announced the development of advanced undercarriage systems for their asphalt pavers, including the AP400, AP455, AP500, and AP555 models. These systems feature a Mobil-Trac design that ensures smooth transitions over milled cuts and surface irregularities, limiting tow-point movement and delivering smoother asphalt mats
.
The undercarriage components are designed with durability in mind, utilizing rubber-coated components that shed asphalt and prevent accumulation, reducing premature wear. Self-tensioning accumulators and center guide blocks contribute to the system's lasting durability.
Dynapac Launches D17 C Commercial Paver
Dynapac has introduced the D17 C commercial paver, tailored for medium to large parking lots and county roads. This paver comes with a standard paving width of 2.5-4.7 meters, with optional bolt-on extensions allowing the unit to pave up to nearly 5.5 meters in width.
Enhanced Performance Features
The new generation of asphalt pavers boasts features such as the PaveStart system, which retains screed settings for a job and allows the machine to be restarted with the same settings after a break. An integrated generator powers the 240V AC heating system, enabling fast heating up times, with machines ready for use in just 20-25 minutes.
The rubber tracks offered by these pavers come with a four-year warranty and feature a four-bogie system with self-tensioning accumulators and center guide blocks, preventing slippage and reducing wear
